Increasing globalization of business, faster growth of the Indian economy and Indian Economy and advancement in technology have given enormous rise to complex legal issues faced by society at large and that has brought about a paradigm-change in the role of legal professional. A lawyer today is a policy planner, business advisor, mediator, negotiator, a lobbyist, an effective communicator and also a reformer: with the field becoming so vibrant and volatile, choice of law as a profession has seen, over the years, a massive improvement. Gone are the days when admissions to law schools were taken only as a last LAW resort.

It has resulted into a situation where legal profession has become one of the most growing and lucrative profession all over the world. The past decade has been mini revolution in legal service sector with the greatest legal impact on corporate legal arena. Activities in project finance, intellectual property protection environmental protection, competition law, corporate taxation, infrastructure contract, corporate governance and investment law were almost unknown before 1990’s. The curriculum at the College is noble, innovative and designed to keep students equipped and up-to-date with the skills needed in the profession. This would enable the students to develop multidisciplinary approach to law in the sense that law and other behavior sciences are seen in the context and in their functional interaction in society. The faculty of Law envisages making its students a social engineer capable of confronting various posed by the society. The Faculty intends to achieve holistic excellence in the arena of legal education. Persistent efforts to attain the goal of amalgamation of law students and the society form the part of teaching policy.


Descipline

  • Students are required to maintain good conduct and discipline. Violation of college rules and regulations makes a student liable for discipline action.
  • Internal discipline is maintained by the Proctorial Board.
  • Students are required to abide by the rules and regulations of the college.
  • Admission of candidate will stand cancelled if she fails to attend classes within the first ten days from the date of beginning of the classes.
  • Students are required to attend classes regularly. As per Collage rules, a student must have minimum of 75% attendance in each class.
  • In case of absence, students are required to submit an application duly signed by parent/guardian along with a medical certificate.
  • Day scholars can leave the College campus only after 12.05.p.m.
  • Day scholars can leave the College campus in case of emergency before 12.00 noon can do so only by obtaining permission in waiting from the Principal /proctors. The students are required to get a letter from their parent/guardian for the same.
  • Students are not permitted to relax in the Collage Lounge and Portico. They may use the spacious grounds behind the auditorium for relaxation.
  • No furniture is to be removed form the classrooms and auditorium. Plucking of flowers and fruits is prohibited.
  • Silence is to be maintained in the varandahs during class hours.
  • Students are not permitted to receive visitors during class hours.
  • Spiritual and Value Education classes are compulsory.
  • Examination forms should be filled on the days specified on the College Notice Board. Registration Formalities need to be completed within the days specified on the Notice Board.
  • Ragging is a legal offence. Any student report being involved in or witness to ragging will be immediately expelled from the college and Hostel.
